1211 is a browser-based digital photobooth built with Next.js — no app download, no account required, just an instant camera experience that runs entirely in the browser. Pick a film layout, snap a few frames from your webcam, drop in stickers, tweak the film color, and export a finished strip on the spot. Every part of the capture flow; the live camera feed, filters, stickers, and layout switching, runs client-side, so what shows on screen is exactly what ends up in the exported image.
Framework: Next.js (App Router, Turbopack), styled with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui components for consistent, minimal UI primitives like buttons and toasts. Backend: Supabase, used for authentication (email/password login, sign-up, password reset via the Supabase SSR client) and for Storage, which serves the sticker asset packs shown on the /snap page.
Camera pipeline: the browser's native MediaDevices/getUserMedia API feeds a live video element that gets drawn to a canvas on capture, where layout, filters, and stickers are composited together before being exported as a final image. Analytics: Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage tracking. Notifications: react-hot-toast for in-app feedback (e.g. errors, confirmations).
A modern browser with camera access support (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) and a connected webcam or front-facing camera. No install, no account is strictly required to try the demo capture flow, though signing up enables to submit a request for feature in /request . Camera permission must be granted when prompted, or the live preview won't load.
Nothing to install as an end user — 1211 runs directly from the website. Just navigate to the /snap page and allow camera access when your browser asks.
Head to the home page and click "try it now" or "get started" to jump straight into the /snap page. On first load, your browser will prompt for camera permission — accept it to see your live feed appear. From there, pick a layout, start snapping, and the finished photo strip renders immediately, ready to download or share.
Photos you capture in 1211 are not saved to the app's database or uploaded to any server. Capture and compositing happen entirely in your browser session — once you close the tab or refresh without downloading, the image is gone. Nothing is written to Supabase or any other backend as part of the capture flow; the only thing persisted server-side is the sticker asset library itself, which contains no user photos. If you want to keep a photo, download it before leaving the page.
All options; layout, filter, stickers, and film color, live directly in the /snap page UI and apply instantly to the live preview. There's no persistent settings file per session — every visit starts from the same defaults, so behavior stays predictable regardless of what you changed on a previous visit.
